Recharge PC LLC will not be held responsible for Malware and Virus issues. Keeping your PC Virus and Malware free is a personal responsibility. Every Windows installation deployed from our servers is guaranteed to be free of both Malware and Viruses. Viruses and Malware occur only after the PC has been in use by the end-user. In order to keep your PC clean in the future, it is very important to have a dedicated anti-virus software installed on your PC. Our systems will include Malware Bytes however, it is highly recommended to upgrade to the full version or another paid alternative.

It is crucial to scan your PC with your chosen antivirus at least once a week. If there are multiple users on the same PC, we recommend scanning several times a week. If the PC is being heavily used, we recommend it once a day.

While having an antivirus is a very important step in protecting your PC, exercising caution while browsing the internet is just as crucial. If a popup appears offering something that is too good to be true, simply close out of it. If this is not possible, kill the affected process by using Windows Task Manager.

Some Symptoms of a virus or malware include: slower computer performance, unwanted pop ups, website redirects, unknown audio coming from speakers, unknown programs loaded onto the PC desktop, and encrypted files.

Ransomware is on the rise. Use caution when opening emails from people outside of your normal contacts. Ransomware can lie in email attachments such as pdf or word files.

As tedious as it is, backing up your data on a regular basis will be crucial. If you use a USB or external hard drive to back up, be sure to physically disconnect the device from the PC otherwise they can risk becoming infected too.

Antivirus software is essential in protecting your computer against malware and cybercriminals. Antivirus software looks at all the data pulling in from web pages, files, programs, or other various applications. It searches for threats against your computer and will block or remove malware as quickly as possible. We do not recommend running two antivirus programs at the same time.
